Phantom
The Phantom is a scientific camera that excels at high speed photography. The "Phantom 65" camera offers up to 4 x HD (4K) recording at 150fps whilst the "Phantom Flex" can record standard HD at 2570fps.
Pre Shoot
We would ask for colour bars to be run against the camera prior to shoot. This will enable us too accurately reference colours accordingly for grading in-suite or Telecine.
Please treat the Phantom as you would a film camera as there can be time and cost implications in leaving the camera running.
Workflow to Offline
The Phantom camera outputs CineRAW files. These files do not provide usable timecode within the realms of a 25frame edit but our team have developed a fully digital proprietary workflow that allows us to maintain consistent timecode from offline (such as "DNxHD" or "Apple Pro Res") through to online. This eliminates the time and cost associated with any manual conform/eye-matching
Workflow towards Online
Once we receive the EDL we process the selects and render out as an image sequence for in-suite grade or Telecine.
