Golden Square lens a hand to Specsavers
Golden Square and disqo have just finished work on a multi platform media campaign for Specsavers. The TV campaign was shot by James Howarth from Another Film Company and shows the haphazard efforts of a rival optician to remove any traces of Specsavers adverts. There are a variety of comical yet ultimately unsuccessful attempts to cover-up and remove all Specsavers posters, balloons, billboards and even workers.
Most attempts were captured in camera but several more were created at Golden Square. A 3D poster was designed and unfurled down the side of the newly renamed Fairfields hall and also a bus acquired a poster which it then lost after the dastardly saboteurs covered it with paint. The scheming Harrison (our rival opticians keenest worker) believes he has finally removed all remnants of Specsavers only to be propelled off his feet when the supers barge into shot.
Golden Squares digital department directed and animated the online campaign which follows on the theme for the TV campaign. Directed by Disqo creative director Ben Leyland these spots show Harrison using a variety of methods in his crusade to remove any mention of Specsavers. He resorts to using a flame thrower, a hoover and physical strength in his quest to destroy anything Specsavers. The end titles on each banner and the encoding of the FLV's was completed by Specsavers' Digital Department.
