Sky - Little Red Riding Hood
Little Red Riding Hood provides the basis for Skys latest re-working of a fairy tale classic. These spots have proved a hit due to their clever blending of childhood innocence with modern day marketing to highlight the benefits of Sky broadband. The story beautifully develops through the series of idents as we see our hoody meet the lumberjack of her dreams and not even a big scary wolf can come between them. Peter Lydon from 76 captures the true essence of the fairy tale with great stylistic humour.
We open on a wolf in a cinema and as the curtain opens the animated fairytale on the screen magically comes to life and our tale begins. We see her journey through the woods, the wolf eating up her grannys broadband and eventually the handsome huntsman rescuing all.
Post wise Golden Square built the first shot using a mixture of stock footage and live action, and gave the shot 16mm footage an illustrated feel. Across the majority of the idents we applied clean ups where necessary and put various screen fills on the iPads and laptops, as well as adding wifi logos where necessary.
Smoke artist Danny Etherington said, This was a perfect job to run on Smoke; 46 versions on a timeline, the addition of supers, time for creative styling and all in an extremely tight time frame I look forward to the next instalment!
In the end our heroes live happily ever after, keeping themselves warm on their once intimidating foe.
